Fox's in Huntington
My mother in law swears by this store and when I told her I needed some new things for spring & summer she told me to shop there. She always uses cash (lucky lady) and said she's not sure if they accept credit cards, she said a few years ago they didn't. I emailed them through their website, but I don't know when they'll get back to me. Does anyone know? TIA

Re: Fox's in Huntington
They have cute things at great prices. I have gotten some very different pieces there- it's not what you find at the mall and I always get compliments on the stuff from there.
They do not take credit cards which is kind of annoying. They take checks, just have your dirvers liscence with you. I don't understand why they don't, but it just makes them more unique Of coourse they take cash, too!
Happy shopping!

Re: Fox's in Huntington
they have one by me in stamford. they take checks and debit cards- just not credit cards
i have a hard time finding things i like there-i feel like the fit on everything is a little off and i HATE the open dressing room policy- i HATE IT
however you can find some godo accessories and stuff there every so often, but i feel like i go in, spend an hour and come out with nothing

Re: Fox's in Huntington
I used to work for the one in Mineola when I was in high school/college. They only take cash or check. Bob Fox does not like to pay the percentage on the credit cards so he doesn't accept them. If you've never shopped there before and you're going to pay by check, you'll need your license to be entered in the system.
I hated the open dressing room too. When I worked there, women would grab me, all naked, and ask me to get them a different size. You couldn't believe the amount of women who walked around with pantyhose and no underware. GROSS....

Re: Fox's in Huntington
Thanks for the info! Especially about the open dressing room. That would have been quite I shock. I'm suprised my MIL didn't say anything about that. I'll check it out this weekend. I'll spend the day checking out all the shops in Huntington I guess.

Doesn't Loehmans in Lake Success have the open dressing room too? Alot of discount stores have that giant dressing room.

Re: Fox's in Huntington
Back in the day Estelle's had an open dressing room and I made my mom block me
The Fox's in Huntington has stalls w/o doors. I just go towrds the back. I figure everyone is so self conscious they aren't looking!

Yep, Loehmans was Fox's #1 competition.

I like Fox's - it can be hit or miss, but I have a lot of things from there!
