Exersaucer/Jumperoo - Did you register for both?

I'm just starting my registry. I keep going back
and forth between these two. Did you register for one or the other or both??

TIA

I did b/c I asked the Moms on the Parenting board and they recommended it. I didn't really think I would get both, but they were some of the first items bought off of my registry. I have the room to store them.

I registered for just the jumperoo. To me, it wasnt necessary to have both, they are pretty much the same thing

As a mom I can say we have both and use them both constantly. The exersaucer is great and I introduced it before the jumperoo. However, when she is in a very playful mood the jumperoo keeps her so happy! I couldn't live without either. She started using them in January and we are still going strong!

Re: Exersaucer/Jumperoo - Did you register for both?

We have just the exersaucer but we are thinking of getting a jumperoo also. DD is soooo active, that she doesn't like to lie/sit down. The exersaucer keeps her entertained and since she is constantly on the move we're thinking she would have liked the jumperoo also.

We didn't register for it because my sister said none of her kids liked it.

you never know what your dc is going to enjoy.. I know my dd spent MONTHS on the exersaucer and only enjoyed the jumper for a little bit.

We debated so much over this for space concerns, wound up keeping only the exersaucer, and then buying a jumperoo when he was ready for one anyway and making space. I advise getting both!

Re: Exersaucer/Jumperoo - Did you register for both?

I read that there are numerous studies that indicated babies who used exersaucers had delayed development in walking / crawling... and they did not catch up to their peers until the exersaucer was removed...

something about them not being able to see their leg/feet at this impressionable time...

becuase of this, I registered for neither an exersaucer or jumperoo.... just a swing and bouncer.....
