Heather at Accounts Services
How the HE L L do you get them to stop calling??!! it is the automated service that says they can lower my credit card rates to "as little as 6.9%". Ive hung up on them, Ive asked to be removed and been cursed at by the operater, Ive pressed 1 and wasted their time by saying nothing because they wasted my time to answer the phone. THEY KEEP CALLING!! I have filed complaints with the DNC registry numerous times. These people are ANNOYING!

Re: Heather at Accounts Services
Sue them.
Ask them for a written copy of their do not call policy (by law they are required to send this to you if you ask). When they don't send it to you, sue them for that as well.
Google "sue telemarketer"

Maybe but probably not.
You know what they say, "Money talks and b******t walks".
Sometimes I wish I would get one of these fools to constantly call me. I would consider it a game. Get all the relevant info out of them pretending to be a customer. Then sue the hell out of them. It's free money.
I am already sueing one debt collector for being stupid and it's looking like the debt collector will be settling.
Sueing a telemarketer should be no different. You just have to know your rights and document everything. These people break the law all the time so it isn't difficult to nail them at their own game.
It's FREE money! Go ahead and claim it!

Free money for what? Exactly what are your damages in this case?
Honestly curious.
I'm NOT NOT NOT saying the telemarketer is in the right at all -- I'm wondering why there would be a need to sue for monetary damages.

Because time is money IMO, and my time is actual damages. Granted the damages aren't huge, but sueing these people is pretty much the most effective way to get rid of them.
Why should these people be given free reign to break the law on your behalf?
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, signed into law by George Bush the elder, led to creation of the ragingly popular Do Not Call List. But tucked away in the bill was another important provision that entitles consumers to take what's called a "private right of action." For each violation of the act, consumers can sue for a $500 penalty. Violations include calling after a consumer has told a company to stop, or failing to provide the consumer with a copy of the firm’s Do Not Call policy.
In his most recent case, heard in January in Sacramento, Lammé was awarded $3,500 for seven violations allegedly committed by Country Club Mortgage Inc. of Visalia. David Mitchell, vice president of Country Club Mortgage, said he couldn’t comment on the litigation.

Beat these people at their own game! In today's economy, every little bit of money that comes in helps. That $500 violation could mean a month's worth of heating oil for your family.
