i haven't taken anything yet, because they haven't been that bad (surprisingly), but i am pretty sure there are some things you can take, like maybe claritin - i would just check with your dr.

when i was sick, and was in so much pain from not being able to breathe, i did take some tylenol cold and sinus, and that really helped - i would do it again if i needed to!

Forgive the spelling, but last year I took Cholorotrietron for my allergies while I was pg. It was recommended by my OB.

My doctor said no to all allergy meds but others here have been told Claritin is OK, just not ones with the "d" (decongestant). Call your doctor. if you want but I feel your pain.

I have been on a Singulair/Nasonex cocktail for years BOTH of which have been approved by my RE as well as my OB/GYN as safe for me.

However, I would ALWAYS check with your own doctor for medical advice first.

I've always had allergies, and I normally take zyrtec. this season I am dying! I have not taken anything for my allergies, I am nervous as well and avoid all pills/meds. so I've been sneezing my head off, and dealing with the itchiest eyes ever. Chat Icon

I used to take Flonase before PG and when I was PG my doc said it was fine...

I also used Benadryl if it got really bad...

My doctor said Claratin (no "d) was ok. I'm trying not to take anything and haven't yet! I'm allowed to use my allergy eye drops though, which I couldn't live without! The neti pot helped with the nasal symptoms.

I just asked my the nurse from my doc's office this-- she said Benadryl was ok and you can take Claritin sparingly. It's a "category B'-- whatever that means.

I was told I could take Benedryl or Claritin or Zyrtec. Benedryl makes me tired and the Claritin seems to help.
