If you have a Wii.....

can you tell me what "equipment" or controls you have for it??

I am getting DH one for our anniversary/Father's Day.... Besides the game console package, please tell me what else I will need to buy?? I guess that depends on the games, right? Give me some suggestions for the basic workings.... I don't need to go all out at first, we can build up things over time.

we have two game controlers so we can play ping pong or tennis against each other. We have mics for American Idol sing-a-longs, we have the guitar for guitar hero...the rewards of working(worked in my case) for a company that designs games

and I think that's it.

eta two more I can think of but don't have. The mat for dancing and the new mat for getting in shape.
I can't comment on those as I don't have them.

Get an extra remote so you can play each other..they have the Wii Play, which is a remote and a disc with a bunch of games.

We have the guitar to "rock out" (i got a guitar stand too..dork!)

We have 2 steering wheels to race with mario kart.

and just got the Fit yesterday..VERY COOL!!
I spent my night doing exercise video games!

You definitely want to get a second remote so that you can play each other in Wii Sports. Get it with Wii Play..the game comes with a remote.

We have a total of four remotes b/c we play with friends and family a lot. We have a second nunchuk as well.

DH got Mario Kart and then quickly bought a second steering wheel so that we could drive together - so much fun!

We have the guitar for Guitar Hero, and the balance board for Wii Fit - those come with the games.

DH also has the shooter thingy...I forget what it's called.

I would really just start with the extra remotes and nunchuks.

We haven't had it long (a few weeks), but we have the extra controller and nunchuck, and two steering wheels.

Thank you ladies and gentleman! For starts, I am just going to get the Wii console and Wii Play. That comes to a little under $400 - is that a good price (I'm going to order through an Amazon.com retailer).

I think I will ask DH to get me Wii Fit for my b-day this summer

you need to visit stores and find out when they will have new shipment. somtimes they will have an ad in the paper to say they will have wiis that morning...

as golden says, its worth 300 so paying 400 should be out of the question unless you really need one and got money to waste.

You should get at least 1 wiimote (if you buy Wii play, you don't need to cause it comes with it) and buy 1 nunchuck.
