Not at all! If you don't have a big duffle bag, then use one!! Whatever fits all of your stuff!!

It's funny you mention suitcase because I started packing mine yesterday and realized not everything is going to fit in my duffle bag and it's a decent size. I am packing a small Samsonite with wheels that we got from my bridal shower...everything will fit in there perfectly so no to answer your question I think a small suitcase is perfect!

I have a small duffel for a labor bag and a large duffel for a hospital bag.

Not at all! I have a suitcase all packed and ready to go and it's not a teeny one, but it's not huge. I packed for both DH and myself because he plans on staying with me the whole time in the hospital.
