I was so upbeat and now...

So, I was all upbeat about starting stims tonight and trying to think positive. Then, the roller coaster ride begins. Dr. Brenner calls to discuss this morning's bloodwork. He tells me that my FSH is still elevated (14) and that it could cause "complications" with this IVF cycle. But I should still go ahead with the protocol as planned. Then he wished me luck.

I feel so bummed now - like he's hinting that I don't really have a good shot at this succeeding.

I've googled some stuff, but I can't seem to find much reassuring stuff about elevated FSH and successful IVF. I was feeling good because the RN saw those follies this morning and also because I have been pregnant 3 times...1 successful and 2 ectopics. I guess I really talked myself into the idea that if we just avoided my tubes, IVF would be ideal for me. Now I'm not so sure. I hate this roller coaster of emotions...and I haven't even taken a shot yet...

I had the same FSH last cycle. It didn't work for me but it worked for Melijane so you never know. When I got the 14, I knew i didn't want to hold off. I have since been doing a ton of stuff to keep it down. It fluctuates for me, I've been as high as 15. Last month it was 6.9. This cycle doesn't count b/c I am doing an estrogen priming protocol and it reduces FSH levels (I mean it was 3.2 on CD3). Let me know if you have any questions.
