I have been on hold with Verizon
for 40 minutes! And that was after trying to get through to them for about 30 minutes, it was busy before that.
We signed up with them in November, and STILL haven't gotten our promotion, and I keep being told that I'll get a call back in a week or so and then nothing. We asked for the Best Buy gift card instead of the tv, it really shouldn't be this hard!

You should search for threads about this on NFR. We posted details on how we got those tv's a while back. I feel your pain!

We had such issues with them that we switched back to Cablevision in March! We were only with Verizon from the end of December!

Threaten to go back to Cablevision after you go up a few manager levels. That worked for my friend and her DH.

Us too. They were a total nightmare, from standing us up for FIVE installation appts., to being kept on the phone for hours at a time.

They told me call back AGAIN next week and they'll have an answer as to why we were flagged to get the giftcard but it was never mailed. They aren't allowed to call customers back now b/c they are too busy.  Every time I call they go through every time I've called and ask what I was told. Guess they didn't expect me to keep notes, but I did, I have everyone's name I spoke to and what date and time. All I want is my $200 giftcard I was promised, it shouldn't be this much work!
Told them if I don't have an answer next week I'm writing to whoever runs Verizon and customer service can explain to them what the database issues are.
