PSA: IBS Root Beer & Stewards Root Beer

Good news: They are both Caffeine Free
Bad news: They are mistaken for beer

At first I thought it was cute or even funny when co-workers would stop dead in their tracks to make sure this pregnant lady wasn’t kicking a few back at work. I mean come on! I don’t drink beer normally, why start now and hello… pregnant! We have very low cubicle walls so it’s easy for the average passerby to see what I’m drinking.

So I just want to warn you, don’t drink them in public.

I was outside having my lunch with my ‘beer’ and the looks I got!!! My god if they could burn I’d be two shades of burnt roast and on my way to hell for a tan.

I can’t believe how quick people are to judge. It’s a root beer people… sheesh. There’s no paper wrapper on the neck or bottle, it has a big bright orange diamond for the stewards label. Why do you people assume I am killing my child with beer?

I totally didn’t get it at first (I had my Ipod and headsets on) but then I felt someone staring at me and the lady next to me was just so obvious. I looked at her in honest-to-god naïve curiosity like “what? Is something going on?” I took off my headsets thinking she heard something but nope, nothing there. Just her staring at me. I looked behind me, etc, checked my face (nothing but my ugly mug) and then looked back at her thinking it must have been something else and she “pfft” me with a roll of her eyes and a shake of her head. STILL I don’t get it until I decide at that moment to drink up, then I see her watching the bottle not me. It finally dawns on me so I moved the bottle nonchalantly in a way that the label would face her and then ignored her but I noticed other people being sly but trying to get a glimpse of the bottle. It was sort of funny, how many people were paying attention!?!? What if I had done something stupid or embarrassing assuming no one has watching me!! LOL

How strange!
