Aversion to Smell of Garlic?
Has anyone have noticed that the smell of garlic is not so pleasant anymore? In fact, it can make you quite nauseous?
My friend developed this during her pregnancy, the girl gags at the smell.
I'm starting to feel the same, though not to the point of gagging.

Re: Aversion to Smell of Garlic?
in my first trimester garlic would totally send me over the edge....
even worse, a guy down the hall makes eggs in the morning and POURS garlic powder on top... the powder is even more sulfurous and than fresh garlic... and combined with eggs.... and in the early morning!
Oh it made me run into the apartment!
I should add that now that I'm in my 2nd trimester, I could totally chow down on indian and mexican food, and other garlicky / cumin-laden foods....
totally gone

I don't have anything like that yet, but my dh now has one!! I ate so much garlic last night that I could barely get him to sleep in the same bed as me!!

Completely agree!! Garlic was AWFUL for me in the first and second trimesters. It is a little better now. Fried garlic was the worst.

Re: Aversion to Smell of Garlic?
Garlic didn't bother me, but it's possible. Coffee, which I normally love the smell of, made me sick until 5 or 6 months. So many smells made me sick, and I think I smelled phantom odors that weren't even there too. Most of this passed around 4 months.
