Lost speculation question
So we all know Lost will end in 2010. That is 2 more seasons of the show.
So where do you think Lost will end? What do you think the last season will be about?
Do you think that is when we find out how the oceanic six got off the island? Do you think it will show what happens to those who stayed on the island?
Those who got off and went back?
Or will there be a whole new issue to deal with?
What do you think?

There is just way too much going on for me to be so detailed in my speculations, BUT, I think somehow-- they will all end up back on the island.
We have yet to uncover why the Others, who revealed themselves again last night, why they stay on the island-- if they are living, or dead, etc. I think a lot of the island's mysteries will unfold, and they all will choose to be on the island, than in the "real world".

I'm pretty sure that we'll know how the Oceanic 6 get off the island by the end of this season, where the stuff about the Orchid Station will be the setup for the rest of the series.
There is still a ton of stuff they have to cover concerning the past, present, and future. We have the mystery about the first inhabitants of the island (four-toed statue), the possible survivors of the Black Rock ship, the "real" reason for the Dharma Initiative, and how the Others/Survivors are connected to all of this.
If time-travel is indeed a major concept of the show, then it just leaves open too many possibilities that my mind stalls out trying to think of them all.
What I do know is that the next two seasons should be interesting, though I really hope they don't treat all of season 5 as a setup for season 6. That would just be a disappointment.

I agree with this .. And that's about as far into it as I've tried to think ahead when it comes to this show  When showing "flash forwards" of the Oceanic 6, it seems that one by one they start losing it and want (or NEED) to return to the island, which is where I think they are 'supposed' to be actually.. why, who knows 
But ultimately I never am right when I try to speculate about where the show is going..i.e., if you'd told me a few seasons back how important Ben would become to the storyline I would have never DREAMT it  He's be such a main vital character and as twisted as he is I truly enjoy watching him manipulate
For me (personally speaking) I've learned that I just rather sit back and let it play out and enjoy the ride (and embrace the frustration..) rather than over-analyze every little detail like I used to in the first few seasons..
Though Hurley seeing the numbers in his car really freaked me out and brought me back to those first few seasons when everyone was SO focused on what the numbers meant

AGREED!
I thought of that last night and even mentioned it to my DH... I really HOPE they don't use Season 5 as 'filler' and totally drag it along with pointless flashforwards (or flashbacks) so that we have to sit there twiddling our thumbs, anxiously awaiting the final season... that will royally pizz me off
