last night DH and I had each two slices of pizza and two large iced teas.. $16.71
they were fancy slices but jeez...not that fancy!

really? we had pizza on Sat night and it was $1.75 for a reg slice (at Saviano's)
and we also bought a large pie about 2 weeks ago and it was $12 - not bad at all

I thought you were going to say gas! I filled my tank with gas for $3.53 a gallon in New Jersey last week. I used to be so happy to pass through Jersey and get cheap gas, but I couldn't be happy paying $3.53 a gallon, no matter what it's compared to. Sad. One of life's great joys taken away...

Well I won't tell you what I pay for gas since I am in NJ  (although in the 10 months I am living here it has gone up about $.80 a gallon). Anyway, this was a regular slice of pizza. Nothing fancy and it as in a mall but I have purchased pizza from a mall before and have never paid that. Last week when I was their I was sitting eating lunch with DS and a guy was buying 3 pies with nothing else (just plain pies) for a birthday party and it came to $60!! He was shocked and they say it has to do with rise of flour prices but that still seems high.
