I'm really sad..
My little brother is getting "hooded" this evening and I wasn't able to travel down to VA to be there.
Now I'm wishing I could just drop everything and head down.

it's probably so large he won't even care if you're not there! my dad's missing mine too. it happens.
i actually think it's nicer to celebrate another time without the hectic nature of the day. maybe you can plan a family party or celebration?

I'd like to, but there is no way... My son has school tomorrow, a baseballe game AND cub scouts. My DH is working long hours this week so he leaves before Aidan has to be on the bus etc etc.

I think you should just go. :) It seems like you really want to go. Would Aiden be ok with missing a baseball game and cub scouts? I'm sure he wont mind missing school

he wouldn't. it also wouldnt be fair to him... he has to miss so many to begin with for other reasons, I dontt want to add to it
