My BFF had this at 20 weeks. She was also put on full bedrest- she could only get up to go to the bathroom and take a shower. She basically laid on her couch all day watching TV and surfing the internet. And she saw the doctor once per week to check her cervix. At the 36 week mark she no longer had to be on bedrest. Good luck!! I know it's hard but you can do it!!

I know two new mommies who had this done. One had a double cerclage. Both had healthy babies. One at 36 weeks and the other at 31 weeks. They had strict bedrest including limited bathroom privaliges but you know what the goal is that beautiful bundle. You will find the strength.

I haven't had it done, but I lost Rogan due to IC and if I decide to try and get PG again, my Dr. is doing it right away to prevent the same thing from happening.

my sister had it done for all her children after her MC at 16 W.. she had healthy babies and got them put in at 12W

Thank you so much for your responses. I know I'll get through it. It just happened so suddenly going from my Level II appointment to heading to surgery.

my dh's cousin's wife had this done during her pregnancy, she got the stitches and the rest of her pregnancy was normal, they now have a healthy 2 yr old.
