What would you do???

My dh was offered a job last week, starting doing training. He just got called for a job he has been trying to get for 3 weeks. It is $150/more a week as he will get more hours and more pay. Here is the dilemma.
1st job-hours 6pm-11pm or 6pm-2am depending on the day
2nd job-hours 12am-8am
We are planning for him to watch the kids during the day for the summer. I am afraid of when he would sleep and not sure if 5pm-11pm will work.
Ughh-what to do????

I would avoid the 2nd job with the night shift... that really messes with your system...

you likely have better odds with childcare duties with job #1 IMO

That's tough. with the job he already has, he at least has the option of working 2 different shifts. but yet with job #2, even though it's 150 more a week, I think you're going to have to use that towards care for the kids because how is going to be able to watch the kids all day after working a 12 am-8 am shift. That's crazy!

If he worked from 6-11pm he could sleep from midnight to whenever you leave for work and then watch the kids during the day. Kevin works until 11pm and he usually sleeps from 1am to about 10am, but we don't have kids yet (well during the workweek anyway).

Thanks. I don't think the 2nd one (12-8) would work with the sleeping part. Having the kids being quiet at 5pm is going to be VERY hard!!!
