I left them 2 years ago and never looked back. The last straw was when they started charging me a fee to deposit my checks through the ATM.

Me and DS are both sick.. I've spent so much time in the past 2 days arguing with these people.. I called DH on the phone afterward and was almost crying

BoA just charged me a late fee on my CC which wasn't even late.. I called & they had no problem taking off charge- but I swear they do it just to see what they can get away with.
Now I worked for Wamu and im not a fan BUT they had overdraft!

Ditto. I switched to BOA from Chase and so far no problems. I also had WaMu and hated them....fees up the wazoo.

i tried to open overdraft- they said in order to get an overdraft line of credit that I had to have 10k in a savings account. Fine I have 10k, but in ING earning better interest (it is before WaMu had a competing online savings).... and if I had 10k in a linked savings acct- why would I need an overdraft line?
So i went to chase- and instead of having to get a new line of credit- they linked my checking acct to my chase credit card which i've had since 93

Oh, I *love* bank of america and how they switch the due dates on my credit card and charge me a late fee...or how I go to pay early online and it won't get processed for 2 days so it will be considered late...oh, more late charges. Yeah, I *love* them!

I used to be a member of Bethpage FCU years back. I was young and just starting out with a blank credit report so they weren't very good to me when it came to credit cards, car loans. Even with cosigners, they didn't want to take me on as a risk.
Add that to the inconvenience of not many ATM's around, and I went elsewhere. This was many years ago, things are much different now, but Wamu had the best combined savings/checking interest rates and benefits for us. Plus they are very close to where we live.
