i announced on here that my cousin (in FL) was getting married.

i just found out from my mom that it seems that the wedding is off. they are not breaking up, they are just not gettign married... or at least not now.

i am close to this cousin. we're like sisters.

here is my question:
she told my mom... or maybe (knowing my mom) my mom pulled it out of her that the wedding is not happening now. she has not told me or has she alluded to it when we spoke on mother's day.

... so... should i say something? or should i wait for her to tell me?

i woudl give it a few days, then I would call her.

Assuming she didn't tell your mom in confidence, when I called her, I would just BS for a while giving her the opportunity to talk including asking how things are going. If she still says nothing, and you are like sisters, I would just say- my mom told me you weren't getting married. Are you OK?

I wouldn't come out and say anything but I wouldn't wait for her to come to you either. She might've mentioned it to your mom and knows you'll find out so she might get insulted if you don't say anything to her, but she might also be too upset to talk about it which is why she didn't mention it to you earlier.

I would give her a call and just feel things out, maybe you could ask how things are going just in general and see how she responds, then take it from there.

I wouldn't bring it up. Might be something she just isn't ready to discuss.

Doesn't hurt to give a random call and feel out the situation though.
