I cut my thumb really bad today
I didn't put anything on it just a Band Aid. Should I have put something on it "Meds" or just leave it alone?

neosporin and see how it goes.
if it gets red, puffy or anything like that - go to a doctor b/c it might be infected. but most likely washing it and keeping neosporin on it with a fresh bandaid should be enough.

I don;t because I'm against all of the excess antibiotic use. this goes for neosporin, purell and antibacterial hand soap.
I just wash well with mild soap and water and bandage.

Neosporin and bandaid. It will help with preventing infection and protecting dirt to go in.
How bad did you cut? How long did it bleed?
Make sure you don't have an infection. Keep covering and check it does not get worst.

I would not wait for the neosporin. I would put it on tonight. Especially if it was a deep cut.

a little red and I did it with a kitchen knife..

I personally would not wait and put neosporin. But you could keep it cover with a bandaid and do it tomorrow.
Make sure it's covered though.
Does it look like "separated" or "healed" a bit?

I did mine yesterday. I washed it with cool water & soap. It bled most of the day yesterday until i left the bandage off to dry it out a bit.
Hope you heal quickly.
