So I go to the dr

and my normal doctor is on vacation so I met with another doctor in the office. We went into his office and had a prenatal visit, then he said go get undressed I will do an internal and then an ultra sound. So I am in the room all excited to see my baby and make sure everything is okay, when he knocks on the door and says sorry have to go deliver a baby. make an appointment for later in the week.. urgh... I totally understand, but both DH and I left work early and we didnt even get any info.. I guess I was so looking forward to my first u/s and now have to wait till Friday..

Ugh...thats annoying. You sound really understanding because I would have been t'd off. Those appointments are exciting...but now you just have to let it build up. Think..the baby will be 4 days older so you'll see more then!

I can understand the disappointment. But If I were in the other person's shoes, I would be pretty happy. I remember years back I had a regular check up appointment with my GYN and was waiting for what seemed to be an hour. I had to leave because I had another appointment. The doctor himself called back to tell me he had been meeting with a couple that had a high risk pregnancy and that he was sorry. I told him that I would have wanted the same courtesy so it was all good.

Of course, I totally understand.... the dr. did the right thing, but I was still bummed... its fine though.. hopefully all will be good on Friday!
