Car Mileage: 1908 Ford Model T - 25 MPG
2004 EPA Average All Cars - 21 MPG

Yes, I know that modern cars are heavier and have more safety features, but still, in 100 years, we can't improve on the first production-line vehicle made, over 100 years ago?

Has anyone ever seen the documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car?" it discusses the electric car that was developed, manufactured many many years ago - and suddenly were pulled off the market and taken back from all the owners.

Blame GM, OPEC, the efficiency/cost of batteries and the cost of the cars themselves. I believe it cost about 120k for one of them?

Anyone check the Tesla cars?

Looks interesting.

I don't think that the EV1 cost that much. I know the electric sports cars, like the Tesla etc costs in the hundreds of thousands.

I read on the 'Who killed the Electric Car" wiki that the EV1 was 300 dollars a month to lease.

Here is the wiki about the car itself
