How long is the first appt typically
The reason I ask is that my first sono appt is for 7PM and I've heard that appt can take hours, so I just wanted to know why they scheduled me for so late?

My sono appointment was really quick. I didn't meet with the doctor, just the technician. I was probably in and out within 15 minutes. Good luck!

Hours? Unless there's a huge backlog of patients, I think you should expect about a 30 appointment. The level II is much more detailed than an office sonogram and that can be about an hour long.

Well its my first real appt in general. I went in just to give blood when I found out I was pregnant, other than that I've heard that they do a lot of bloodwork etc at your first appt, and the sono they do in his office and the dr does it himself.....so all this together, will it be a long time???

My doctor splits up the first few appointments so they're not as long: first appointment, sono, and paperwork. My first appointment was basically an annual. I asked a bunch of questions so that took a little longer. I had to go to a lab for bloodwork though. If you have to have an annual, boodwork and a sono, I'd think your appointment would be close to an hour.

I wasn't even in the dr's office for an hour when I had my level II followed up with a regular OB appt....
If it takes hours, it must be due to a patient backlog......
