Loans trying to be taken out in my name
Recently, my husband and I have gotten three letters from banks regarding our loan requests and mortagage requests. Thing is WE NEVER APPLIED FOR ANY. How does this happen and how can we find out or stop it from happening again? I'm freaking out. TIA.

I'm thinking identity theft. 
Call TransUnion, Equifax & Experian and let them know what's going on, they'll guide you on what to do.
Get a copy of your credit report and review it.

I'm thinking identity theft.
Call TransUnion, Equifax & Experian and let them know what's going on, they'll guide you on what to do.
Get a copy of your credit report and review it.
and also put a FRAUD Alert. No one will be able to run your credit and they will have to notify you personally before proceeding.

Ahh yes, identity theft it is. Put fraud alerts on your credit files, call the banks let them know it wasn't you, call the police what a great world it is
