Re: Who's husband is a metro?
I agree with Andrea. I think of metro as a guy who waxes, tweezes and tans.
DH doesn't do those things but he does care about his appearance... pressed shirts and pants, groomed hair, clean shaven and polished shoes. On weekends, he laxes a little bit but I love that. It's the best of both worlds!

Re: Who's husband is a metro?
My husband gets his eyebrows done or asks me to clean them up but he is not a metro. He hates to shop and I lay all his clothes out for him.

Re: Who's husband is a metro?
definitely not - he enjoys shopping for shirts but he uses no products except for face wash, deodorant and cologne.
he has no hair to worry about - he is losing it so he shaves it all off.
i would freak if he spent more time in the bathroom than me
ETA: i am lucky if he showers every day

yes and no
he is very into fashion, watches and shoes
he can spend hours on his hair- and he has different looks for work vs neptunes (in the hamptons)
he gets very upset b/c european designers do not fit him- he is way too big for them
but then at the same time if he drips a jack and coke on a $200 shirt- he doesn't even care- I follow him around with tide to go
Really hours on his hair?

Re: Who's husband is a metro?
I love my DH's style- he dresses well, takes care of himself - in terms of always being well-groomed & clean- he'd never walk out of the house with holes, stains or mismatched....
has nice suits/shoes/watches...
However it seems effortless-which I love, because he could be showered, dressed& out the door in 10 minutes- 15 minutes tops!
He would NEVER spend more than 5 seconds on his hair, or putting outfits together.... THANK GOD, because I take forever- we would NEVER get out of the house, and would be late to everything!!!

maybe it just seems like hours but a good 30 to 40 minutes when he was into have it spiked or a faux hawk
I am glad he is over that now!

DH isn't, but his brother is....DH couldn't care less...sometimes I'm like embarassed by how little he cares.
ditto! he wears stained work shirts and jeans with holes in them to work
and he has TWO nice outfits and one suit.
i found both nice outfits in the wash today and we have a dinner tonight so i had to wash them ASAP thank goodness i did or he would be wearing dickies to my friends rehearsal dinner!!!! and i keep trying to hide his gross clothes so i can throw them out but he is so attached to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Who's husband is a metro?
Mine doesn't tan anymore but he used to. And he still maintains his eyebrows (tweezes and trims, no waxing), but if he didn't small children could get lost in those bad boys. Not exactly a metro but somewhat high maintenance.

Same here. His brother is a total metro and my DH is far from it. But at least he cares what he looks like for work since he always has to wear a suit.

Re: Who's husband is a metro?
He is not a metro persay but a HUGE sneakerhead. I can't even count how many pairs of Nikes he has. And tons of track jackets to match

Re: Who's husband is a metro?
Mine is far from it. He does care how he looks, but he doesn't put much effort in it. He can barely match his clothes. His clothes are nice, but that is b/c I helped picked them out. If he had to shop on his own, I shudder to think what he would bring home...
