i would say nay only because i don't think you'll be able to wear them that long - the waistband probably isn't that stretchy. plus, IMO, you don't want to spend that kind of money on something you won't be able to wear in a few weeks (you'll be surprised how fast you grow).
i would try to get some pants with an elasic waistband. have you tried NY and Company?
