? About your visit to the RE
As you can see I'm still thinking about this.
When you had your exam, was there a nurse in there with you?
At my exam, there wasn't. Someone brought that up to me and now I think I have another reason to change REs..I know something isn't right here.

There always should be a nurse together with the doctor, it is a law in case you want to sue (sexual harassment)......

I have never had an exam by my RE, but when I go for sonos and the tech is a male, there is always either a female nurse or assistant with him.

yes there was a nurse with him when he did my exam. All other sono's since have been done by a PA and she's been alone.

There should always be two people in the room. Even when you have a pap, there is always a nurse with your OBY.
That is weird and not right.

There was no nurse when I had exams but DH was in room with me so maybe that's why?

I didn't have a nurse there either and DH wasn't always with me.
I actually never thought about it...I guess I am just comfortable with my doctor.

see, I knew this wasn't right. The whole thing felt off.
I know my gut..it's always right.
I need a new RE..that's unacceptable. Should I see another in the practice or should I bag the practice? Should I say something? I feel like I should.

The tech always does my sonos also and there's no one else there with her...but maybe thats cuz she's a female. But at my regular gyn - he always does my exams and there's never anyone in the room with him. I guess I never thought about it either. But then again I've been going to this guy forever and I'm so used to him so it doesnt bother me.

At my OB/GYN (male), the nurse who brings me into the exam room always asks if I want a nurse present. (I say no.)
At my RE (female), I think the nurse was also in the room for my first visit. For my second visit, the nurse was not in the room, but DH was.

I would normally be ok with it because I know most of my docs a long time, but I just met this guy for 15 minutes and there I am with my feet up in the stirrups and he's giving me a breast exam and a gyn exam and an internal sono.
My plastic surgeon always has an assistant in the room, so did my breast surgeon and my gyn..
Franky, my head is up my butt with this so I didn't notice but I just have a gut feeling that this isn't right.

At my regular OB/GYN there is never anyone else in the room and I am totally o.k. with that.
At the RE though, every single time, there has been a nurse in there with us.

Any time I have had a male anything (sono tech, doc ) there has always been a woman present...Even at my OBGYN's office...I would have found it odd also...

I made an appt with Dr. Kenigsberg (sp)..I spoke to a very nice person who took my info and told her what transpired. She thought the same way I did.
I think I'll just give it a go and see what's up.
