What to wear?
I have a dinner tonight with my husband at the Australian Parliament house and the Premier is going to be there (like the governor). My husband said it is a cocktail party so he thinks that means cocktail dress. I don't think so. It is a Wednesday and it starts at 6.30- how can people not be coming from work (I have off today). Anyway last time he said cocktail party, I wore a nice skirt and a sleeveless top and was the only idiot not in business dress.
So I have something similar to this dress (designer, shape and length-wise). The dress has the same shape and a little v at the neck and it is tan. I was going to wear it with a black cardigan and some black peep toe heels. I do not have time to run out and get anything new. Do you think it is OK, or should I wear a black skirt and a nice top?

Or I have something similar to the dress when you click on the picture and it says felted wool. Mine is in brown tweed.

With pearls and a cardigan and heels, yes! French twist-ish hair do and btw, what time is it there? Are you on Wednesday?

It is 10.30 AM Wednesday morning.
I am going to get a haircut today and was going to ask them to blow it out. I have shoulder length hair, do you think that would be OK?
Normally I can dress myself, but my husband isn't helping me with what kind of clothes I should wear (cocktail vs. business).
