Belly shaving?
This may sound strange, but has anyone considered shaving your belly? I started growing little dark hairs on my belly that, to me, look nasty. They drive me crazy!  Would you shave them?

LOL...you are having a boy right?
That happened to me when I was preggo with DS. I shaved them once, and they didn't grow back. I still got the fuzz again, but the dark ones stayed gone.

Yes, I'm having a boy. I don't mind the fine light hairs, but the dark hairs look so nasty.

for the love of god! im so glad u posted this bc the hairness was really getting to me! im having a girl though, and damn it im one hairy beast, its scary how fast it got like that!
i was thinking about shving it also but i was scared that the ol "if u shave it it will come back longer and thicker" would apply

LOL, DON'T DO IT!!! I started with the dark hairs early on and figured a little shave was in order (I only did a tiny spot, thank God!). Now it's just gross. When people ask to see my belly I feel like I am showing off my "happy trail" everytime
It looks like I am having a boy too and that was one of the things early on that made me think it was a boy!!

Yes....some people say it's the boy hormones that make your body hair grow faster and thicker.

Well, thats true for me for armpit hair! If I was pregnant over the summer I would be shaving 2 x per day

I not only have a line of dark hair growing from my belly button down to the vajajay but I have hairs sprouting all around my belly!!!
I was told not to shave but to wait until after birth b/c they'll just go away...
btw I'm having a girl so I think its an old wives tale.

OMG! I have them too....lol right below my belly button. I can't stand a site of hair. So, I shaved them right away and they grew back quickly. So, I started to tweeze them but still......uugghhhhh
My next step will probably waxing.

I had that when I was pregnant with my daughter and now again with this one. Funy thing the hair on my legs and other area is not growing, it's all moved to my belly

i always had a little hair so when i was a teenager i made the misake of shaving it so i have to shave it ever since then. Not a lot though, every couple of weeks.
I say dont do it, or you will have to do it forever

I have this problem also... and I have decided not to shave it.. My thought is when I am not PG it will go away and if I start to shave it, than I will always have to shave it.
