For those having a c-section...
how far before your due date will you be scheduled? My due date is 8/12, and I just found out I'm scheduled for 8/5....just 1 week before. Does that seem too close to my due date?

Thats about right for a scheduled c-section. Some hospitals have strict guidelines for the time frame that the dr. can schedule them in. Obviously, their concern is to give the baby as much time as possible to grow.

My 2nd pregnany was a scheduled c-section. I was due 8/22 and it was scheduled for 8/14.

I believe we go to the same doctor and she told me when it was time for my 2nd - it would be about a week before

I was due on 5/16 and I will be having the baby on Friday. 1 week also. My doc said most hospitals won't let the schedule more than a week out unless there is a medical reason. With my daughter I was scheduled 2 weeks early so who knows.

Im so confused b/c my due date is June 14th...and the dr. mentioned how it will probably be sceduled for June 13th.. why only one day before?! I see them this Thursday.. i originally was told 7-10 days before....im so confused..!

With my first, my c-section date changed three times.... Sooner, soon and really soon. I had DS three weeks early via- planned c-section (DS was breech, doc was worried about DS's foot breaking my water)
This time... c-section can only be one week before my due date.... unless I start labor before hand

I am due September 25. I having the c-section on the 17th. The earliest they would do it would be the 11th, which is 14 days before the due date. But there was no way that I wanted the baby to be born on Sept. 11th. SO, the 17th it is..

My OB would only do a c/s if I was 39 weeks or later. Not sooner, unless the baby came on its own.

Mine was scheduled for 38w 1d but it was after having an amnio at 38w. Without the amnio, the earliest my office schedules is 39w.

I am already penciled in for 9/5 and my due date is 9/15. If my Dr would let be go before 9/5 I wouldn't mind
