When are/did you tell family?

DH and I were thinking about telling family on Mother's Day, but I haven't had a doctor's appt. yet. I kinda wanted to wait for that. When did you guys tell family, and was it only certain members or everyone?

I told only my parents, sis, DH"s parents, and brother when I was 6 weeks. I did wait until the doctor's appt....even though I haven't had a sonogram yet. I go this week...I just couldn't help it!! My doctor said that b/c I'm having bad morning sickness, that's a good sign...so I went with it. I just couldn't keep it from my parents any longer!!!

I also told my co-teacher b/c she knew something was up when I kept running out of the classroom....ha!!!

I told my mom the day after I found out. We told MIL, FIL and my grandparents after the 9 week sono. We told everybody else after the 12 week sono.

First pregnancy we told our families (mom, dad, siblings) at 7 weeks...rest at 12 weeks...this pregnancy, we told my family at 9 weeks, inlaws at 10 weeks, and will tell the rest after our ultrascreen (13 weeks)...

i told my parents and DH's parents two days after we found out (i was only 3 1/2 weeks and i hadn't had a dr's appointment yet). i told my sisters, SIL and grandparents at 5 1/2 weeks.

i am the kind of person who doesn't keep anything private, so if something awful had happened i would have wanted my close family members to know.

i started telling close friends after i had my first dr's appointment, and co-workers at 10-11 weeks.

ETA: a co-worker lost her baby at 5 months so i felt that waiting wasn't going to make a difference for me, and a few people at work were becoming suspicious because i was already in bigger clothes at that point.

We told everyone - family included - after our 12 week appointment and ultrascreen. I was superstitious about telling people before the 12 week mark...

We told our parents, siblings, and close friends as soon as we POAS and the line showed up. We couldn't wait!!! Everyone else we told at 9 weeks.

I told my Mom and sisters right away-as soon as I got that +. I told one co-worker who is due next month-we're pretty close. Everyone else I will tell...I don't know...

Everyone was told at the 12th week mark!

I told my mom before I even pulled my pants up after poas. We told everyone else 2 weeks later at 5.5 weeks

My Dh and I are the worst at keeping secrets so we told our immediate family and some friends right away. We told everyone else around week 10.

Parents and siblings at 11 weeks. Some friends at that point also. Most at 14 weeks and beyond.

Parents and siblings right away, as well as a couple of close friends. Everyone else after our first appointment/ultrasound at 9 weeks.

We waited a little longer than most; we told family at 15 weeks (except my mom who knew when I POAS) and friends after that as we saw them. I told work about 16-17 weeks. We had some testing done in the first trimester and I wanted to make sure all was ok before I told people - and I had a m/c last year, so I already was cautious.

I wasn't planning on telling anyone until after the first trimester, but my hormones got the best of me. I told my parents and brother at 5 weeks. We told DH's parents and siblings when we saw them a week later. I'm glad they all know.

We haven't told anyone else yet although my parents are bothering me about telling my grandparents this weekend. I have my first sono this week. If everything is ok, I may tell them.
