Tracks that you run in suffolk...
Besides Bay Shore High School, what other tracks are there to go jogging at?

Hey Kelly...I'm guessing most towns have tracks to run. I was going to the Lindenhurst Middle School (2 yrs ago b4 I got married)...it was great too b/c they had night lights.

I also like running on the trails at Sunken Meadow or the boardwalk. I can;t wait to start running again!

The northport running club uses the harborfields hs track.
julz - I love the sunken meadow trails (that was our cross country course), but lately I have been feeling weird going there even in the daytime, like someone is going to jump out.

I used the West Islip HS track last week and didn't love it. It's gravel, not that red stuff tracks are usually made of. And there are construction workers there fixing up something, watching you go round and round.
I like running around a track to keep track of my speed/distance but I just hate when I drive out to one and there are kids practicing football/lacrosse etc. there. Stupid kids! That track is for me!

as a former track coach...let me just share some advice...usually teams are practicing early saturday morning so you should not be running on the track with them. try to go later in the day or sundays. You can go to the sectionxi.org website to find out when schools are having games too that could be later in the day
