DeBeers Diamond Settlement?
Quick question for those that have put in a claim. I was just going through my papers and I only have the appraisal for my e-ring and wedding band. The form says purchase price, I don't know the exact amount. Should I put in the appraisal price which I was given when we made purchase?

That's strange since it was reported on the news, stated that it was done at a federal level and both my sister and myself rec'd letters stating they have our claim and are reviewing it. I also rec'd two emails updating me on how everything was going.
How is it a scam, exactly?

I know! I remember seeing it on the news too. From what I remember from the news article, it was all started by a marketing company and DeBeers currently has a judgment against them.
I want to say this was either mid-late march or beginning of April...

well, no harm, no foul - i sent in a copy of my paperwork from the ring - if i get some cash: great. if i don't: less for vinny to worry about lol lol

I can't say it didn['t cross my mind that if someone wanted to steal a LOT of jewelry they'd have a list of addresses and exactly what to look for!
However, DeBeers mentions it on their site, so it must be somewhat legitDeBeers FAQ
