What summer fairs do you go to?
I'm trying to get an idea as to which fairs I want to apply for spots at this year.
So far I have:
Strawberry Festival, Mattituck (my home town  )- father's day weekend
Argyle Lake- Babylon - around mid-september;I forget the date
West Islip Country Fair- September 21st

No summer fairs per se, but we ALWAYs go to the Big Apple BBQ at Madison Square Park. Except this year I am not standing on any lines. We may rent my teenaged nephew to stand on line for me so I can get me some BBQ brisket or we may spring for a FAST PASS:

Yeah, I've done the Strawberry festival for the last 3 years- just finally sent my application in for all 3 days this year... I'm hoping to secure a better spot this way.
I usually do the Riverhead Country Fair but it's my dad's birthday that weekend and I never do as well as I expect to... I'm going to see how fairs are going (due to the economy) and then decide if I'll do that one this year or not... thanks for the suggestion!

I'd have to hire people to help me for that one!  I can only imagine the fees on their booths. I did send an inquiry over to see what they say though. Thanks for the suggestion!  How's your mom doing?

Not sure the spelling but Copiague has the
Paumanack Fair at Tanner Park every summer. I think it's in August.

Seafood Festival and Sayville SummerFest are walkable for us - so we always do them. We also wander downtown during Out in Sayville. And at the end of summer it's ALL about Bradstock!
Seafood Fest and SummerFest are always PACKED. Bradstock is more of a hippie, crunchy granola vibe.. but lots of good folks!

What do you sell??
We went to the Strawberry Festival last year. That was it for summer fairs. We mainly go to the Italian feasts like St. Rocco's in Oyster Bay. We also love the Oyster Festival but that's in October (my dad won 2nd prize in the oyster eating contest last year!!)

I usually go to the Alive After Five festival down in Patchogue (on Friday nights). Also, the Terryville FD carnival is always fun

Last year we went to the balloon festival (I don't remember the town). It was so much fun and I will definitely do it again this year!
