so I finally picked out the swing
I know, it's nuts to take so long for such a simple thing.....
I eventually gave up on finding a swing that matches both our decor and our needs... I'm focusing merely on needs, and will cross my fingers and hope that over the coming months (my shower is in early august) they will come out with more patterns... right now, there are only blue and pink options
at any rate I chose the fisher price model that plugs in.... simply becuase I would never keep up with all of the battery changes otherwise!
as an aside....what is up with that anyway? why is it that almost all swings ONLY run on batteries when they're most often used in areas close to an outlet... I digress....
fisher price swing... it's terribly blue and I don't know if Crouton is a boy or girl!

Re: so I finally picked out the swing
Just so you know the ones that plug in swing ALOT slower then 100% outlet powered ones even if you did plug it in. My DD hated her starlight papasan for that reason which sucked because it was $$$ so I called FP and they actually had me mail it back and sent me a check for it. For DS I had the aquarium swing and we used to have it to weigh it down with some blankets to slow it down but he loved it. Just figured I'd give you a heads up. You child may be fine but mine both liked swinging faster.

wait, which are 100% outlet powered swings? I would totally consider those... I don't care about the battery option... I just don't want to go through a couple hundred batteries before Crouton outgrows the swing..... I also am a bit concerned about the weak motor reports for the FP I picked out....

Yeah, The battery ones swing faster is what I was getting at. We had the butterfly papasan and all the speeds seem to be the same and we blew two motors barely using it.
