I'm Clueless....2 Y/O Birthday Gift?
Any ideas on what we can give our friends' 2 y/o daughter for her birthday?
This is my husband's best mans' daughter - and last year we gave her a savings bond for $150 + a precious moments train set w/her age on it.
I intend on buying the 2 y/o precious moments train set to continue until she's 18....but clueless as to what else we should get her...
and it has to be by Friday!

I have a 2yo DD, and she likes dolls, dress-up clothes, and almost anything that makes noise.... They are just learning words and sentences, so anything from LeapFrog that promotes learning words and letters is very good.

Not sure how much you want to spend, but my kids love all the outdoor stuff we have in the backyard.
This Little Tikes slide folds up so it can be stored pretty easily, and my almost 2yo son loves to play on it.

My 3yo dd still loves playing with the teeter toter, she can play on it with a friend or if she sits in the middle she can play by herself. Step 2 makes a nice looking one.

Both the boys and girls in my dd's class at nursery school love playing on tricycles and in these cars.

Water Wheel Play Table
I saw my 2 1/2 year old neighbor's son playing with it and he had a BALL.
My nephew is 1. My SIL said he is going to LOVE IT.

I forgot about this, mainly because DS got it when he was around 2 (3 years ago). He loves it, and DD does to. We brought it out a week or so ago when it was really nice. I think all kids like playing in water...

Since the summer is soon, I would go with a sand box. You can get a plastic shovel and bucket so they have something to unwrap. Toys r us has sets for ten dollars.
