Nintendo Wii

I want to get DH a gift and I know he wants the 2 player version... I know nothing about these things and Best Buy is sold out... anyone know where I can get the 2 player system? Does it come with any games?

Re: Nintendo Wii

maybe try game stores like EB Games or Game Stop and also toy stores like Toys R Us.

It comes w/ a Wii game which has games like bowling and tennis and such. I think there may be another game included that has little mini games which are used to teach you how to use the controllers.

Re: Nintendo Wii

do you mean a bundle pack with two remotes? there's no "two player system" for the Wii--its just the game console....and then you can buy add'l remotes so up to 4 people can play together.

there are some bundle packs that come with an extra controller and nunchuk....but unfortunately they are HARD to come by. systems come in and then sell out like hotcakes!

ETA: the wii system has a controller & nunchuk, Wii Sports -- which has baseball, bowling, tennis, boxing, etc.

Re: Nintendo Wii

They are all mult-player systems. You just buy more controllers for more players. I think you can have up to 4 players on one system.

Re: Nintendo Wii

you can go to the nintendo world store in the city...rockerfeller center...early in the morning anyday of the week they are always in stock.

it only comes with wii sports which is 5 sports games, also only 1 controller so youd have to buy the other.

this is how i got mine, but i actually had a connection and got it in the afternoon.

you can also try wiialerts.com they text message u when it becomes available at certain online retailers. the only problem is that i was never near a computer when i got the alerts because i was always at work!

GL any more q's feel free to ask.

This is exactly what I want, I found a company on line that has it - but they are out of Canada and they don't accept any form of payment from US residents other than some money gram thing that I've never used and has a fee attached to it. I don't trust it and would prefer to buy from an American company anyway.

I also can't go to the city to buy anything... I'm 9 months pregnant... I was hoping to get something for DH for being the best daddy to be and husband in the world. I couldn't have dealt with everything without him and I know this gift would make him happy.

Re: Nintendo Wii

I just called Game Stop - they have the system - but not the 2 player bundle. The price I got from the Canadian company is great ($279) for this bundle, but the payment method is very shady to me.

I'll check Toys R Us, but I doubt they'll have the bundle.

the Canadian company thing with a money gram---DO NOT DO IT!!!! sounds like a scam---because you can't get your money back once they cash out!

just get the system from game stop and you can buy the extra controller and nunchuk....that is how i would do it

Re: Nintendo Wii

The extra controllers are easy to get. Almost any electronic store has the extra controllers on the shelves. I see them all the time. It's the console that is hard to get. I doubt you'd be able to order any on-line, since they are still so popular.

Why not get the single and then another control. It is easy to find the controllers and they aren't that much money.

Re: Nintendo Wii

I'd also like the games it comes with - the 2 player bundle seems to include Wii Play (?). It has 9 additional games and includes the extra nunchuk and control.

The Wii system doesn't come with Wii Play... Wii Play is a game you can buy that comes with a controller that cost 50 bucks which really means $40 controller and $10 game.

You need to find out when stores get shipment and get to the store early that day when they come in...

Wiialerts.com is a great tool also to sign up for...

We got a bundle pack that didn't have WiiPlay.... it DID come with an extra controller, and several games. We'll probably get WiiPlay sometime soon. I see it on the shelves all over the place.

Re: Nintendo Wii

seems like it would be much easier to just buy whatever main console you can get and then go to a gamestop for the extra controllers (theres like 3 per mall most places so it should be fine). WiiPlay is kinda ehhh compared to WiiSports which can keep you totally entertained for a while before branching out into other games.
