Spinoff to cars... how much over/under invoice did you pay for your car?
I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of deals are out there...

I bought my car 5 1/2 yrs ago and we got it for what the dealer paid (he was a friend of ours).It was about $4000 less then what it would have been.

bought current car in august 2001. not sure exact amount but definitly under. i always buy previous year models when new models are introduced. i am in the market for a new car this summer and again, will buy previous year model.

We paid $500 over invoice for an 08 Camry in November. The deals are even better now. I'm being quoted invoice on the 09s.
Time to negotiate on some other options now.

I bought my car 5 years ago and paid "less than invoice" according to two dealers who wouldn't sell for my price and $500 over invoice according to CR.

My Stepfather is a loan officer so I know what to pay and not to pay. The dealers want have a nice realtionship w/him so they gave me my car at cost to them.
It worked out to be a sweet deal
It always helps to have an 'IN'
