Anyone see/have a ring tattoo?
Every once in a while, DW talks about getting a tattoo of a wedding band on her ring finger. She doesn't like rings because they irritate her skin, slide off, water retention, etc.
Has anyone had or seen a ring tattoo? Is it more or less painful than anywhere else?

dont do it. they typically do not hold well. some artists wont do them.

Toes and fingers do not work well with tatoos.

you can do it but they often fall out pretty fast.

All I know is that they fade really fast like your feet, the skin "changes" (wrong word) "exfoliates" too often for a tattoo to stay nice.
A customer of mine has one and it is now kind of blurry and spread out so she wears a wide ring over it.

Good to know. DW wasn't planning on doing it anytime soon, but I'll let her know about this feedback. Did some quick searches on the web and found some tattoo forums that said pretty much the same thing.

I'll agree, although I am getting one. I have 2 on my toes. One held well for the last 10 years, the other...not so much.

Yes, friends of ours got each others initals on their wedding ring (since she has lost her ring several times). They said it was not painful, but also said that it can fade/wear away faster
