Do you move over...
if an ambulance is coming at you (in other lane of course) and there is no one in front of them to go around do you stay where you are, move to the right but keep going, slow down & move or go to the right & stop?

I move to the left/right and stop. In Illinois, you can be ticketed if you don't stop and pullover to the side for ambulance or fire truck.

Re: Do you move over...
Wait I voted wrong because I didn't understand the question.
So you're saying the ambulance is coming at you HEAD ON but on the other side of the road right?
Then no, I don't move to the right. I probably do slow down though, but that's just a subconcious reaction, not intentional.

If traffic going in the opposite direction is separated only by yellow lines then I'll most likely pull over and stop. BC they usually end up driving down the middle of the street.
If it's a major street with a median then no, I won't pull over. Maybe just slow down if I'm at an intersection incase they turn my way.

sorry, should have clarified. You are heading east & ambulance is heading west (one lane going each direction)

I pull over and stop. This is what I was taught when I learned to drive plus I always worry that someone is severely sick or dying and that few seconds to get through the traffic could make a difference. So I try to get out of the way for them. You never know.
What I hate is that when I do pull over then people behind me pull up and block me in.

Me too, I pull over and stop. Unless only slowing down and moving slowly along the right side will actually help others do the same.
I do this mainly because I thought it was the law and even if its not, alot of times there will be a jack azz or some other situation in front of the ambulance and if they need to pass on the left of them then they can use my lane, happens all the time - do I make sense?
