Letters to the president

I'm fed up just like Holly and I'm sure the rest of you are too!! They are projecting that by memorial day gas will be around $5.00 a gallon.Ridiculous, something has to be done it's not just gas it's everything from companies outsourcing vast amounts of work. To our economy going in the $hitter.

How about we start writing letters to George Bush? What do you all think about that? Here is the address.

Re: Letters to the president

Oh, I wrote last year (about Iraq though, not gas prices). Got a formal reply that said nothing. I didn't expect him to write personally, but whoever did didn't even seem to have read the letter.

I may try again for what it's worth. He's not listening though. Why he got elected a second time after dragging us into an unecessary war is beyond me. He has really ruined this country.

Can't stand this man one bit. He should have been impeached.

Re: Letters to the president

writting letters to the President is going to do nothing. What would make an impact is for us to stop buy these big gas guzzlers, car pool, walk when we can, bicycle, use public transportation and STOP depending on oil! If there is no demand for it.....the prices will go down!!!

Oh, in reference to another post, it is ok with me for DS to curse in future years when referring to George W.Chat Icon

What a destructive fool he is--can't wait till he's out.

But yes, it does help to try and think about how much gas you do not need to use. Since moving to the suburbs from the city, I've fallen into the driving everywhere trap. There are places I can walk to from my house too. So I need to rethink the driving thing.

Every company that this man has EVER gotten his hands on he has bankrupted. He is ridiculous. Writing letters is not going to do much because he won't care. I mean seriously how do you have a losing profit on a baseball team.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Letters to the president

You might have better luck writing to more local polticians... congressmen, state senators, town supervisors..

The President actually has very little power and influence to pass legislation that affects the average Joe...

I know I don't understand how people could have voted him in being that he has his own agenda with his oil fields or whatever he has.

Re: Letters to the president

The reason food prices are so high is because of our past dependence on oil, the damage we have done to our Earth and now the steps we are taking to correct it.

Because there is such a need for natural fuels, a percentage of the corn and rice fields were used to create ethanol and other types of Earth friendly fuel.

That caused a shortage in food. Supply and demand. There are food riots in about 6 countries right now and rationing all over the world. Of course, we still ditch our leftovers when we're full.
