It's amazing that this post came on a day that I was bawling my brains out over something I'm so passionate about.
I went to see Sunday in the Park with George on Broadway today...OMG. I've never bawled so much in my life. Theater can do that to me anyway. But the general theme of the show - how children- as well as art leaves behind a legacy - just kills me. Freaking amazing. The way it all came together was just magical. I called my mom and told her I was bawling and she said - it's a sad show? And I said no, it's just beautiful!!! Yeah I'm nuts.

my love for my dogs... and broadway shows. i cry at the end of EVERY one - not for the story, but for that last finale song - i just imagine how proud they are up there on stage, and how well the applause is deserved for their talant.

Does anyone have a passion that can literally bring them to tears?
I am not a cryer, especially around others. BUT..there is one thing in this world that will get me EVERY SINGLE TIME and that is a tap dance routine. I know this sounds odd, but I danced since I was 3 until graduating hs. I stopped out of the blue and back then I thought I was making a wise decision. It was the worst decision of my life.
Now every time I see a tap dance routine, I just cry and cry. I cry due to the amazement of it, I cry because it was something I used to do very well, I cry because I know my chance is over. Last night while watching riverdance perform on dancing with the stars, I had tears streaming down my face.
I was wondering..does anyone else have a passion in life that can bring them to tears?
Thats me with ballroom  I used to compete. everyone asks me if I watch DWTS and I can't. It breaks my heart. As much as I love watching it, I am so sad that I can't do it anymore....

Ballet does this to me! I danced my WHOLE life! For the last 3 on pointe! Then I went away to college and I stopped, gained weight....now I am older and the dream is over. It's so sad. But ballet will always hold a special place in my heart.

I have a difficult time watching b'way shows. I didn't stop dancing but I had a lot of issues in my early 20s that lead me to give up the acting. And I nearly never sing anymore.
The last show I saw, one of the girls that I took acting classes with was staring back at me in the playbill.
I felt defeated. Like giving up to make myself healthy might have been the wrong choice.

Being in church. I started getting involved in the church (and became Catholic) when I was 16 yrs old- a time when my parents were celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary, my parents and I were very involved in the church (Dad was on financial committee and mom and I were in choir and such).
Now, my parents are divorced (& remarried to other people) and when I am in church I get very emotional, b/c it brings me back to a time when our "original" family was still a family.

Anything where children suffer.
I can't bear to watch the news or read stories about cruelty to children and abuse.
I will also watch adoption stories on TLC and cry pretty much half the time. Good and bad tears...I love when a child is brought to their new home and given the love they hadn't experienced before. To me, it is so moving.
