Baby gift help
I'm seeing an old friend today after work for a few drinks and they had a little girl back in January. I am giving a card and a check, but I'm not sure how much.
We see each other maybe a few times a year-we used to work together a while back but kept in touch. He lives in DC and I attended his wedding a few years ago.
I was thinking a check for $50..too cheap?

thanks all..I know having a baby can be expensive and he is working and she is not..and the student loans since she just completed her PhD in veterinary biology...
