yet another tattoo spin-off: has anyone gotten a tattoo in honor of their pets?
i was thinking of getting 2 small pawprints for my dogs, who are truly the loves of my life. does that make me a psycho  has anyone else ever done something like this? if so, post pics!!

I was going to say the same thing as Kevin. If it's something important to you, then go for it.
Tattoos are a personal decision and if this is what you want to get, then go for it.

I don't but I know someone who had a "portrait" of her Dobie. It was gorgeous.

We were recently watching an episode of LA Ink where a woman had found/rescued a raccoon and decided to keep it as a pet, then after a few years it died (or ran away, I don't remember) and she decided to get a tattoo of him in order to help feel closure at her loss.
So no, you're not a psycho for wanting to get a tattoo in honor of your dog.

I haven't yet but I've had the drawing I want (and have come up wtih two others in addition, one of which I will also do) and I just haven't had the time/nerve to get another tattoo (my first one was 17 years ago and I'm not as spontaneous as when I was 23!!).

I don't have a pet tattoo, but I saw a picture of someone who had his dog tattooed as a black & gray portrait on his arm, and it came out really nice looking. It's not crazy to want to honor a pet with a tattoo

Couldn't find a good pic, but Paul Sr. from American Choppers has two huge tats of his dogs on his arms. He got one of them on an episode of his show.

Yes, before my cat Tello passed away I inked his paws to paper and I am tattooing his actual paw print on me.
i would love to see that when it's done!!

My friend has pawprints on her lower back of her cats. She inked their paws and brought it to the tattoo parlor. They look like the cat walked across her back.
