Re: 2nd time around

I was very sick with my first (girl), but this time, I was soooo much sicker (on the couch 24/7 for over 4 weeks). This one is a boy.

I voted no but it's more yes and no. I am very blessed with excellent first and second trimesters but I have rotten third trimesters.

With my daughter she was a traverse footling breech and was pushing my pelvis out of alignment. I had many painful 'episodes'. This one was in a franks breech for awhile which was very uncomfortable for me. When it moved out of that position. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon as far as the pain. Other than that I am all belly this time and with my daughter I was all over. I mean REALLY all over. I am not used to having such a big belly since I didn't really have that with my daughter that I am now very uncomfortable again.

Also with my daughter my thyroid stayed in check the whole time. With this one it's been increase in meds after increase.

My food cravings were different too. I craved Tortellini Alfredo ALL THE TIME, when I was pg with my daughter. Now I want steak or junk food, mostly carbs.

So they were similar but painful for different reasons.

WOW, I could have written this word-for-word!

BTW, my first 2 were a boy, then a girl and I don't know what this one is yet.

Re: 2nd time around

I feel like this pregnancy is very similar but also different. Everything feels a little different to me but I think that's because my body has already been through this before. I had a pretty easy pregnancy with DD, except for two times when I had bleeding. This pregnancy has been much easier other than the down's syndrome scare. Physically I feel as if this pregnancy is the same. I am more tired this time but I believe that is from working full time and keeping up with a 3 year old. Both times I was nauseous in my first trimester but never got sick. I just think in general you act differently with your second then your first so in some ways it's going to seem different.

Re: 2nd time around

My first pregnancy was pretty easy, no morning sickness and really no problems, except DD was born in 10 minutes. I'm due in Sept with DS and the pregnancy has been the same except I'm a little more congested then with DD other then that they have been the same. Hopefully the delivery will be nice and smooth this time around!

Re: 2nd time around

This is my second pregnancy and I feel really good! I felt the same for the first one. First trimester is a little rough but then once 12 weeks hit I feel so much better.

I had a fantastic 1st pregnancy--even 9 mos. pregnant in August--and I had an almost identical 2nd pregnancy!
