I am on the fence about it.

I liked the character..she did a great job.

But the "storyline" was a lifetime movie at best. The scenes with her and Jason Bateman were weird..it just felt so wrong.

The whole thing was a little far fetched..but I guess it was cute in a different sort of way.

This is exactly how I felt!!

I think Ellen page was amazing. I did not like Jason Bateman/Jen Garners story and what happened...thought that was odd.

I love the guy who played her boyfriend (he was in superbad, forget his name). I think he's adorable.

I did cry at the end. I don't know...I really liked it, but the one prob I think I had was that Juno is supposed to be a quirky kid, we all get that. She is alternative, a bit different etc...but she's SMART. The vocabulary she uses, her sarcastic humor. But then her character acts like a 10 year old during serious situations..to ME that was over the top.

Can you tell I'm too critical?

So glad we rented it though, caught my attention the whole time and overall a sweet movie.

Okay, we watched it last night (didn't want to start a new thread) and I thought it was so cute! I loved so many thiings about it. First off, the dialogue and the wittiness to it...I wish I had quick comebacks so I appreicated that about the characters. I loved her family, her friend Leah was great, her hamburger telephone, the soundtrack, etc. I wasn't expecting what happened with the couple to actually happen but after the end, you see how it worked out for the best. I love what Vanessa did with the note. Overall, I thought it was sweet.

Absolutely loved it!!! A little uncomfortable w/ the Jason Bateman aspect, but on a whole, just a great movie.

I thought it was a great movie. The teenage pregnancy issue was handled very tastefully.

I refused to read this thread until DH and I saw it.

I liked it, but didn't love it. I liked Juno and her family. That guy was a little annoying. J. Garner was great.

I did cry at the end.

DH and I both thought Waitress, similar film, was better.

Re: Renting Juno tonight..did you like it?

i just saw it like 2 nites ago..and i really liked it.

**SPOILER** (in case anyone hasn't seen it yet)

i think the whole dynamic between Juno and Jason Bateman's character wasn't exactly weird as it was Bateman realizing how much fun it is to be around someone who had similiar interests and such.....since his wife was a complete 180 of him. he really saw his youth in Juno and i think a part of him really was attracted to her.....but more so because she reminded him of what it was like to be young again. she was kind of the thing he needed to realize he wasn't in love with his wife anymore and it was time to move on.
