Tell me it's going to be ok...UPDATE back from DR
I have my follow up appointment today at 4 to go over all of my test results. I am so nervous because I know my FSH is very high......I am so scared of what I am going to hear
Well I am back, as I already knew my dr. is very concerned about the FSH level and wants to wait and see if it will go down in the next 2-3 cycles, if not we will still try an IUI with injectables. Well DH told the DR. that I have waited long enough and eager to start ASAP... So we signed up for an injectibles class on April 30th, and the nurse is going to call tomorrow with the plan on when we'll start but we also have to wait with the insurance....so that's it for now. So please pray that my FSH will lower....And if you know anything that I can do to help lower it, PLEASE let me know.
Oh, and on the bright side all of our tests came back normal, except for my thyroid which I just went to the dr. for on Monday and started the meds for that.

Take a deep breath and don't make any assumptions until you talk to the doctor.
Hang in there!

I'll lay it on the line for you, they are probably going to tell you that your chances are less than someone without high fsh but that you can still get PG. There is a lot that is not understood about high fsh. On my most recent cycle 1st IVF I had an fsh of 14 and I am pregnant. So it definitely can happen. There are a bunch of high fsh chat boards out there-do a google search it may reassure you. So much of this is mental!

I am glad you at least got some answers. Good luck with your treatment. I believe there are some herbal remedies that can help with FSH levels, try doing a search.

Wheatgrassd and acupuncture can help. A quick google search will give you all the info you need. If you can handle it Google Scholar will give you journal articles if you type in high fsh

Re: Tell me it's going to be ok...UPDATE back from DR
My FSH was 14 last cycle and we are starting IVF this month - all they told me this week was that it was "high, but not off the charts". So, hang in there!!

Re: Tell me it's going to be ok...UPDATE back from DR
Yep I have high FSH levels also. I've had low ones too, but once its high I guess you are considered high. I was 15 once. But, it's also been 6.6. I do notice I respond to the meds a little better when its low, but I still responded with high ones too. I'm currently doing acupunture, wheat grass powder and yoga. We'll see if there's any improvement. I had CD4 b/w today. Been doing this for 6 weeks.
I'm about to start an estrogen protocol for my next IVF round. I'll let you know if estrogen makes a difference.

Re: Tell me it's going to be ok...UPDATE back from DR
OK, just for the record and I don't know if it's because of what I am doing but my FSH today CD4 is 6.9. Isn't that so weird. Just need it to stay down for next cycle too.
