Whole Foods
Just went to Whole Foods during lunch to pick my son's jarred food and I decided to pick up lunch from them from their prepared food section and oh my God what a mistake...it has no flavor and is totally overpriced. I had a piece of roasted turkey with mashed cauliflower and asparagus and all I can say is BLEH
They definitely have a great organic selection of certain stuff but otherwise they're overrated and overpriced.

its a mad house in there at lunch time too!
i went the other day to buy artichokes, they were $4 each!
i gave them back to the cashier.

are you effing kidding me? There's one in Queens!!!!!!!! I drive my azz from Bklyn just to go there b/c the Union Square one in Manhattan requires me lugging around shyte from nyc to BK.

I think Whole Foods has a much better variety, but I prefer Trader Joes, for the price and the unique items I find there.

There is one at Union Square too.
I didn't love Trader Joe's. Too specialized & the produce was awful.
I love the produce & meat at Whole Foods--better than the crap at Stop & Shop, but we still get our main groceries there.

Interesting. My sister always buys her fruit and veggie platters from them for parties and they've always been delish!
Then again, she lives in CT so maybe they use a different supplier.

The only one I've been to is in Eastchester, NY. (in lower Westchester County). I live near a different one now, but I haven't been.

Trader joes has a LOT LOT less Organic though then Whole Foods. Most of their stuff is not organic...So it stinks cause its cheaper And sometimes tastier.
I go to both often....and Whoelfoods and teh regualr supermarket.
UGH!
Why cant one store carry it all? Fairway sometimes does but has hardly any organic meats and is sooo overpriced in certain things.

I am a Fairway shopper (Redhook) primarily for it's produce section. it IS overpriced in certain things. they have a pretty decent organic meats section but I don't buy the organic b/c it's too $$ for us to switch too.
of the three though (Whole Foods/Trader Joe?Fairway) I prefer Fairway.
LOOOOOVVVEEEE the cheese and olive section
