oops! think i'm in trouble!

so... i'm in a wedding in a couple weeks. now, i'm super short ( like 4'11'') so the bride asked me if i could have the seamstress save the material from the bottom of my dress after she hems it, and the florist is gonna use it to wrap the bottom of the bouquets.
WELL... i totally forgot to tell the seamstress this 2 weeks ago when i dropped the dress off! the bride mentioned it to me this weekend and i was like "uh oh"... i'm supposed to pick the dress up tomorrow. i did call the dress shop and leave a message, but they're closed today.
oh well! hopefully one of the other girls remembered...

You really don't need that much material. If the other girls remembered, that should be enough. One of my BMs was about 5'2" and another was 5'. The material from their dresses alone was MORE than enough to wrap everyone's bouquet -- and I had 7 bridesmaids. Chat Icon

yeah... thats what i'm hoping. she only has 4 girls in it. BUT she was saying her MOH actually has to wear flat shoes because the dress would be too short on her with heels, so she dosen't need it hemmed... and one of the other girls is just as tall as the MOH... so we'll see what happens!

Hmm... those girls should have ordered their dress in the longer length then. One of my girls is almost 6' and had material cut off the end of her dress. Most seamstresses will save the material anyway, so hopefully they just saved it automatically.

If not, at the end of the day, wrapping the stems on the bouquets is not going to make or break a wedding. Hopefully she's not too stressed out of a bride. Chat Icon

exactly!!! its not the end of the world AT ALL... shes not super bridezilla-ish, but shes definitely VERY detail oreiented, so we'll see what happens!
