has anyone ever had a problem with "seeing sparkles"
It just started happening to me & I'm planning on having an eye exam heres how it happened today, I'm doing housework, I bent over & when I stood up my head felt perfectly clear but I saw what looked exactly like tiny sparkles in front of me, they flashed for a second, then I saw different ones. I'd say the whole thing lasted about 40 seconds. Very weird, I have been known to get migranes-but rarely and it wasn't at all like the "aura" that comes with a migrane.
anyone ever have this?

Yes, it happened to me often when I was pregnant. It was always one of two things: I was either starting to get dehydrated or my blood pressure suddenly dropped. I'd go to the dr. if it continues, but try drinking some water, having a snack and see how you feel.

Yes. I get the ones that are reminiscent of the migrane related auras, but I get them when I have a severe lack of slepp. The eye doctor may not be able to help you. You might need to go to a neurologist or someone with Optic Nerve specialty.

OMG I get this pretty frequently and it weirds me out. I've never said anything to the doctor because I thought I was nuts. It's weird because like you said, I don't feel weird at all, but I see what I was saying was stars. They just flutter around for a minute and then they're gone.

I think it is related to the blood pressure and your sudden shift in movement. I have low blood pressure normally too. While pregnant it happens somewhat often but goes away quickly!

Re: has anyone ever had a problem with "seeing sparkles"
was it in only one eye or both?
A low/high blood pressure thing would be in both eyes, but something neuronal would be in only one eye.....
I had a seizure when I was in my early 20's and to this day I occasionally will see tracers in my left eye.....

Re: has anyone ever had a problem with "seeing sparkles"
I have had low blood pressure since my teens, and you described exactly what happens to me from time to time. I get sparkles, swimmies, a bit of lightheadedness where I can hear my heart beating in my ears.
It can make you pass out, which has happened to me, so if this does start to happen to you, look for a place to sit immediately. Even if it's on the floor.
I have passed out and hit my head on ceramic tiles before, after getting up suddenly from a sitting position. Until the doctor can give you advice, please be careful when getting up in the morning, standing up, bending over.

I got it a few times while pg as well and I have low blood pressure.
I agree, drink water, eat a snack and relax for a few minutes.
