I am with you. I could never find the courage. I still shave.
And I work with Estheticians who offer to do it for free. I feel even worst since I know them.

Re: Brazilian Waxing....HELP
NrthShrGrl's post made me want to try it SO badly. Shaving never lasts, but I'm a chicken.
It's the embarrassment factor as well as the pain scaring me I CRY when I get my eyebrows waxed....how can I do this?

Re: Brazilian Waxing....HELP
I personally was most scared about the pain but it's really not that bad. And for the embarrassment - I figure the woman who waxes me is much like the gynecologist. She sees many a day, so there is no need to be embarrassed.

I agree with this. When I used to have it done...I never thought about being embarrassed. The woman who did it was so nice and made me feel extremely comfortable.

It's really not that bad...I mean, the lady sees plenty of va-jay-jays all day long. There is no laughing and pointing, so that's good...
Take two motrin before you go.

I agree... I figure, this is their job and they are making good money doing it!
Go for it!

Re: Brazilian Waxing....HELP
What you have to understand is that the women doing it are professionals and they do it ALL day long. They have seen many a woman before you and will see many a woman after you. To them, it is the same as giving a manicure, just a different medium, sort of speak. It's all part of their job.
It will only take a few times to get use to the whole procedure. You will be having casual chats during the procedure--like I do with the lady who does mine--in no time!
And the results are TOTALLY worth it! Trust me!
