anyone have this evil cough.....
My DD has had it for 4 weeks and I am going on 3 weeks. I am 6 months PG. I assumed that since we both had it that it was viral. But now I am worried that I should have been taking antibiotics or something. Has anyone had this never ending wet cough? Did you take medicine? I am getting scared about what an infection could do to the baby......

i'm so sorry you're feeling like poo 
i started coughing on february 28th (i know, right? i know the date.....) and seriously didn't stop until maybe a week ago....i never went to the doctor, but my MIL gave me a bunch of antibiotics to take that hse got when she had a similar cough (not good, i know) and they didn't do much to help....so, i don't know if this makes you feel any better, but i'm pretty cough free now, so i think the end is in sight for you

UGH!!! That's funny....I know our date too....March 15th! I don't think I could stand another week or 2 of this. I sound like a Leper (sp?) and just can't stay cooped up anymore.

Thanks....I have an appt on monday (cause I live upstate but I am here on LI right now)
I am calling my insurance company to see if there is a doctor I could see while I am here.....

Girl I hear ya!
My doctors (OB and Regular) wouldnt give me antibotic because Im 4mths preggers..
it was an upper resp inf with low grade fevers
Hubby just got it too so Im sending him to the doc for meds (since he can take them)
I started the cough over two weeks ago. But i REALLY hammered me Sunday through Tuesday.. Bad.. like can't move and coughing up crap all day bad.
Go see a doctor and find out what you can take!

i am 25 wks and have asthma that is normally under control with my meds, no problems earlier in pregnancy, even after my ob took me off my singulair. then i came down with a bad case of bronchitis like 3 wks ago, and evrything was out the window. i couldnt get rid of this cough, and my asthma was totally out of contro, even after being on antibiotics and a burst of prednisone. my ob sent me to a pulmonary specialist last week that was great. he changed my inhalers, and said that my acid reflux/heartburn issues from being pg was aggravating the asthma, so i am on prevacid too. i admit that i was a lil leary on seeing him since i have been on the same meds for quite awhile now for my asthma, and was afraid of how i would feel if he changed everything around. i have to say now that i am so happy i went to him, because finally starting yesterday, i feel like myself b4 i got sick! no more coughing up a storm, no more breathlessness feelings, and heartburn/acid relfux free.
maybe check with your dr to see if he has any suggestions on what to take. hope u feel better!
